About — Journeys of a Rational Mystic
Why this site exists
Journeys of a Rational Mystic is a space at the crossroads of reason, myth, and lived experience.
It’s about unlearning, clarity, and practice — not performance.
My story
I’ve spent my career as an engineer, entrepreneur, and software architect — building systems, companies, and solutions.
Now, in my sixth decade, after a major life reset, I find myself drawn to questions I had long postponed:
- What truly matters?
- How do I want to live the rest of my life?
- What does it mean to live with clarity, purpose, and inner freedom — especially after the structures, identities, and scripts I once relied on have fallen away?
- What does exploration truly mean?
What I’ve come to discover is that life isn’t a story of seeking more.
It’s a story of unlearning — letting go of mental models, accumulated concepts, inherited beliefs, and spiritual marketing funnels that promise easy transformation for a fee.
For me, growth has begun to look more like subtraction than acquisition.
Less like self-improvement, and more like remembering what’s already there beneath the noise. What has always been.
I write to clarify, to understand, not to convince.
To practice discernment.
To share my unfolding journey — and above all, to learn from fellow travelers walking their own paths through this noisy, beautiful, complicated world.
My essays aren’t about teaching or building a brand.
They are about practice — about sādhanā — and one man’s experiences on this path.
If you’re walking a similar path — or simply curious — I’d be honored to have you along for the journey.
